It seems a congratulations is in order for Yeah Yeah Yeahs lead singer Karen O, who recently got married to long term boyfriend, Barnaby Clay!
Energetic, fun, passionate and totally original, Yeah Yeah Yeahs are one of those bands that can release an album with every track sounding totally unique. They’ve always been a favourite of mine, ever since their first album Fever to Tell was released back in 2004. Since then, I would have to say Gold Lion from their second album Show Your Bones (2006) is my favourite YYY song. Perhaps it’s Brian Chase’s pounding rhythm that reminds me of my heart beat or Karen O’s gasping “ooh-oohs”, but this song defiantly gets me every time. And the video clips aren’t that bad either. I totally recommend YYY for all those indie rockers out there, or even for those looking for something new.
